The 4th Annual General Meeting of Past Prefects’ Association of Zahira College, Colombo was held on Saturday, 28th March 2009 at College Hall.
Power Pool Challenge, a success
The “Power Pool Challenge” tournament organized by Past Prefects' Association, is another successful project in 2008. This was held on last Sunday 8th June at Romaanz Pool Centre, 6, R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Colombo 4, from 10.30am onwards. More than 100 participants took part in this tournament.
The tournament was played as follows: 1st Round, 2nd Round, 3rd Round, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and the Grand Final. Round 1 to Quarter Finals was on knock out basis and the Semi Finals and Final were best of 3 games. Finalists were Mr. Milton and Mr. Niraj. The winner awarded with a trophy and Rs.15,000/- and the runner-up with a trophy and Rs.7,500/-. We were happy to see that Zahirians as well as Non-Zahirians participation in this tournament including prominent professional snooker players.
The Project Chairman Dilshad Jiffry and the organizing team wish to thank all the participants and the people who helped them in numerous ways to make this event a great success. Accumulated profits of this tournament will be utilized for the betterment of Zahira by the PPA.

Support Needy Students
PPA concluded its first of SNS (Support Needy Students) Project yesterday, 05th June, 2008 at the Principal's Office of Zahira College, Colombo.
